AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said that the Palestinian struggle against Israel will continue as long as occupation is still there, stressing that the Palestinian resistance will continue defending the holy sites until their final liberation.

Spokesman Barhoum said in a press statement on Monday that the Hamas Movement received several calls from various parties in an attempt to prevent war following the Jewish settlers’ provocative flag march.

“The flag march is an inseparable part of the Israeli persisting plans to control and to Judaize al-Quds (Jerusalem) and the Al-Aqsa Mosque,” Barhoum underlined, hailing the Palestinian people who marched en masse in defense of the Al-Aqsa Mosque against the flag march.

Barhoum underlined that the Palestinian resistance has fought four decisive battles and is ready and willing to fight other battles until the liberation of the Al-Aqsa Mosque from the Israeli desecration.

He called on the Palestinian people to unite in resisting the Israeli occupation, stressing the importance of preserving the identity of Jerusalem and the Islamic holy sites.

On Sunday, thousands of Jewish settlers stormed the old city of al-Quds through Bab al-Amud area to participate in the flag march and assaulted Palestinian citizens and property. In addition, 2,626 Jewish settlers raided the Al-Aqsa Mosque and provocatively performed Talmudic rituals in its courtyards.
