Indian Point’s Final Days Before the Sixth Seal (Revelation 6:12)

Earth Matters: Indian Point’s Final Days – Nyack News and Viewsby Barbara PuffIndian Point has been the crown jewel of the nuclear industrialist complex and closing it is a big step to a sustainable energy future. — Susan Shapiro, environmental lawyer. When scientists began exploring nuclear power in the 1950s, pollsters didn’t ask the public their opinion as support was almost unanimous. By the ’60s, there had been a few protests and opposition increased to 25%. So when Indian Point opened on September 16, 1962, it was greeted with enthusiasm, fanfare, and, in hindsight, naivete.Within a few years, increased pollution, loss of wildlife, and accidents at the plant elicited concern. In response, Hudson River Sloop Clearwater and Riverkeeper were formed in 1966. After incidents at Three Mile Island in 1979 and Chernobyl in 1986, public opinion began to turn against the use of nuclear power. In 1984, her first year as a legislator, Harriet Cornell formed the Citizens Commission to Close Indian Plant. A glance at her press releases over the years shows her convictions regarding closing the plant. In a recent speech she noted: “Were it not for the superhuman efforts of concerned individuals and dedicated scientific and environmental organizations focusing attention on the dangers posed by Indian Point, who knows what might have happened during the last 40+ years.”Simultaneously Riverkeeper began documenting incidents, including:1 An antiquated water-cooling system killed over a billion fish and fish larvae annually.2 Pools holding spent nuclear fuel leaked toxic, radioactive water into the ground, soil, and Hudson River.3 Recurring emergency shut-downs.4 27% of the baffle bolts in Unit 2 and 31% in Unit 3, holding the reactor core together, were damaged.5 The plant was vulnerable to terrorist attack.6 Evacuation plans were implausible.7 No solution for spent nuclear fuel, posing the risk of radioactive release and contamination of land.8 The plant was near two seismic zones, suggesting an earthquake over 6.2 could devastate the area.9 Asbestos exposure. These and other issues led the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to rate Indian Point in 2000 as the most trouble-plagued plant in the country. Lamont-Doherty Observatory agreed, calling it the most dangerous plant in the nation. As individuals realized the seriousness of the situation, urgency for a solution grew and Indian Point Safe Energy Coalition was formed in 2001. Comprised of public interest, health advocates, environmental and citizen groups, their goals were to educate the public, pass legislation, and form a grassroots campaign with hundreds of local, state, and federal officials.Clearwater also began monitoring the plant around that time. Manna Jo Greene, Environmental Action Director, recalls, “We were concerned when one of the planes that struck the WTC flew over the plant, including several buildings that hold huge fuel pools, filled with spent fuel rods and radioactive waste.” Had anything happened, the nuclear power industry had provided protection for themselves while neglecting surrounding communities. Powerful lobbyists, backed by considerable financing, induced Congress to pass the Price-Anderson Act in 1957. This legislation protected nuclear power plant companies from full liability in the event of an accident, natural disaster or terrorist attack. With such warnings, it’s hard to believe as late as 2010, The New York Times stated, “No one should be hoping for a too hasty shutdown.” Over time, the cost of litigation by New York State proved more fatal to the continuance of plant operations than protests, though they were a crucial factor and led to initial filings. Attorney General Schneiderman was very active in filing contentions, legal reasons the plant shouldn’t be relicensed, and won several important court cases on high-level radioactive storage. In 2016, The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation denied Entergy a discharge permit for hot water into the Hudson River, part of their once-through cooling system. This permit was necessary for continued operation of the plant and a requirement for relicensing. The New York State Department of State, Bureau of Coastal Management, denied Entergy a water quality certificate the same year, which it also needed to relicense. After more than four decades of danger to the environment and residents, Governor Cuomo announced in January 2017 the plant would finally be closing. Unit 2 would cease production on April 30, 2020 and Unit 3 would end productivity on April 30, 2021.Later that year, in March 2017, the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board allowed Entergy to renew the plant’s licenses until 2021, dismissing final points of contention between the company, New York State, and Riverkeeper. Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino attempted to sue the state and reopen the plant in April 2017 but failed.Ellen Jaffee, NYS Assemblywoman, stated, “After 46 years of operation, I am glad to finally see the closure of Indian Point. Since joining the Assembly, I have long fought for its closure. I would not have been able to pursue these efforts if not for the environmental advocates, like the Riverkeeper, who fought long and hard beside myself to close the plant. The plant’s closure must be conducted in a safe manner, where all radioactive materials will be properly disposed of, without inflicting further harm on our environment. The closure of Indian Point shows that we can reduce our impact on the environment.”Harriet Cornell said, “We have waited years for this to happen and frankly, it can’t happen soon enough. The facts have long shown there is no future for this dangerous plant.”“The closure of Indian Point marks the shutdown of dirty polluting energy,” noted Susan Shapiro.Holtec, the company chosen to oversee decommissioning of the plant, has a horrific track record. New York State Attorney General Tish James released a statement in January expressing multiple grave concerns about them. According to Riverkeeper, they have a scandalous corporate past, little experience in decommissioning, dubious skills in spent fuel management, workplace safety infractions, and health violations. Another fear is the cost will exceed a decommissioning fund set aside by Entergy, Holtec will declare bankruptcy, and the public will absorb the difference.“Entergy made huge profits from Indian Point,” said Manna Jo Greene. “They’ve hired Holtec, a company with a poor record of decommissioning, to complete the work. Entergy plans to declare bankruptcy, thereby having taxpayers foot the bill. We are not out of danger. It is a different danger.”Richard Webster, Legal Program Director at Riverkeeper, adds, “Decommissioning must be done promptly, safely and reliably. Selling to Holtec is the worst possible option, because it has a dubious history of bribes, lies, and risk taking, very limited experience in decommissioning, is proposing to raid the decommissioning fund for its own benefit, and is proposing leaving contaminated groundwater to run into the Hudson River.”State Senator David Carlucci warned, “The NRC Inspector General Report shows there is much to be done by the NRC to gain the confidence of myself and the public, as the commission is charged with overseeing the decommissioning of Indian Point and ensuring the health and safety of Hudson Valley Communities. We demand answers from NRC Chairman Kristine Svinicki. The Chairman needs to come to the Hudson Valley immediately and outline the steps being taken to address our safety and explain how the commission will properly inspect and guard the pipeline near Indian Point moving forward.”One of the gravest dangers in decommissioning is the storage of spent fuel rods. A fuel rod is a long, zirconium tube containing pellets of uranium, a fissionable material which provides fuel for nuclear reactors. Fuel rods are assembled into bundles called fuel assemblies, which are loaded individually into a reactor core. Fuel rods last about six years. When they’re spent and removed they are placed in wet storage, or pools of water, which is circulated to reduce temperature and provide shielding from radiation. They remain in these pools for 10 years, as they are too hot to be placed in dry storage, or canisters. Even in dry storage, though, they remain extremely radioactive, with high levels of plutonium, which is toxic, and continue to generate heat for decades and remain radioactive for 10,000 years.“Elected officials and government groups became involved once they understood the fatal environmental dangers nuclear energy creates for millenium,” said Susan Shapiro. “It is the only energy that produces waste so dangerous that governments must own and dispose of it.”Robert Kennedy, Jr., of Waterkeeper, explained “If those spent fuel rods caught on fire, if the water dropped, the zirconium coatings of the spent fuel rods would combust. You would release 37 times the amount of radiation that was released at Chernobyl. Around Chernobyl there are 100 miles that are permanently uninhabitable. I would include the workplaces, homes of 20 million Americans, including the Financial District. There’s no evacuation plan. And it’s sitting on two of the biggest earthquake faults in the northeast.”On April 24, 2020, Beyond Indian Point Campaign was launched to advocate for a safe transition during decommissioning. Sponsored by AGREE, Frack Action, Riverkeeper, NIRS and Food and Water Watch, they’re demanding Cuomo hire another company, opposing a license transfer before the State Public Service Commission and NRC and pushing state legislation to establish a board to supervise the decommissioning fund. When decommissioning is finished Beyond Indian Point hopes to further assist the community in the transition to renewable energy. These include wind, solar, geothermal, biomass and hydrothermal power. The Pakistani Nuclear Horn is about to go rogue: Revelation 8

Former British commander cautions Taliban may get control of Pakistan’s nuclear weapons

PTI / Aug 16, 2021, 23:18 IST

JERUSALEM: Contending that the Taliban could not have sustained its campaign or secured victory in Afghanistan without the active support of Islamabad, a former Commander of the British Army on Monday raised concerns over jihadist elements getting control of nuclear material in Pakistan to weaponise themselves.
Addressing a virtual conference organised by Jerusalem-based non-profit organisation Media Central, Col. Richard Kemp, a former British Commander who led troops on the front lines of some of the world’s toughest hotspots, including Afghanistan and Iraq, said “Pakistan created the Taliban, funded the Taliban and supported the Taliban”.
The brutal war in Afghanistan reached a watershed moment on Sunday when the Taliban insurgents closed in on Kabul before entering the city and taking over the presidential palace, forcing embattled President Ashraf Ghani to join fellow citizens and foreigners to flee the country.
“Taliban would not have been able to sustain for 20 years without Pakistan’s support or carry out the campaign that they did or secure victory without it,” Kemp said.
Yet, he cautioned that “the existence of a Jihadist state next door will also present great dangers to Pakistan”.
“One of the biggest threats we considered during the Afghanistan campaign, or the threat of Taliban winning, was the potential for them taking over control, or getting access to some of the nuclear facilities or nuclear weapons facilities in Pakistan”, the former British commander said.
This possibility arises from a highly complex relationship between the Pakistan government, the Taliban, the Afghan Taliban, the Pakistani Taliban, Al Qaeda and other Jihadists within Pakistan, he explained.
That’s the significant threat that shouldn’t be forgotten- of terrorists getting armed with nuclear material. I am not suggesting that they will necessarily use them as nuclear missiles but the material itself could be used to weaponise Taliban or Jihadists in Afghanistan”, Kemp explained.
The former British army officer also accused Iran, China and Russia of supporting the Taliban while describing India as a possible constructive player in the region which is likely to be kept out of the developments.
“Iran has also played a significant role in funding and equipping the Taliban and has directly contributed to this victory. They supported, assisted, funded and armed Jihadists, particularly to run the campaign to kill the US and British forces in Afghanistan”, Kemp alleged.
He said China paid the Taliban to chase and kill rebel leaders and said that it would now look to “plunder” Afghanistan’s resources.
“India is probably the only regional player that can play a constructive role in Afghanistan but is likely to be kept out by both Pakistan and China”, the former British commander said.
“Russia and China will use Afghanistan as a weapon against the West, particularly the US”, Kemp said.
Arguing that the “unconditional withdrawal” of the American troops made the current outcome in Afghanistan almost “predictable and guaranteed”, Kemp said the expedited withdrawal of the US forces by the President Joe Biden administration made the outcome even more swift.
The decision to withdraw forces dampened the spirits of the Afghanistan government, whose forces already had an allegiance issue, made worse by corruption and irregular payment of soldiers, the Colonel said.
The British commander also raised concerns that the development could lead to refugee problems that can come knocking at Europe’s door eventually and opined that he had no doubts that Afghanistan would go back to “dark, aggressive and violent rule like before” as the new lot was “nothing different than 2001”.
Taliban’s return in Afghanistan would embolden Jihadists across the globe and Afghanistan would become a safe haven for them, he contended.
Rubbishing Biden’s claims that one of the main reasons for the American troops withdrawal was to counter China and Russia, Kempt argued that it will “actually have the opposite effect”.
The Jihadists would perceive the US as weaker and it would embolden them to go against the West and the US in particular. Also the countries we (the West) were hoping would come to our side would ask questions about our reliability, he said.
“It will undermine the US’ prestige”, he concluded.
Brig. Gen. (res.) Yossi Kuperwasser, an Israeli intelligence and security expert who has in the past served as the head of the research division in the Israel Defense Forces Military Intelligence Division, and was Director General of the Israel Ministry of Strategic Affairs, argued on similar lines. He stressed that American allies in the Middle East, including Israel, would find it difficult to rely on Washington’s assurances and the important lesson for them would be to focus on building their own capability to counter threats.

UN nuclear watchdog says Tehran produced 200g of material enriched up to 20%, in further departure from deal

With the chances of a return to the 2015 nuclear deal fading, Iran has progressed with producing uranium metal, the UN nuclear watchdog said on Monday.

“On 14 August 2021, the Agency verified… that Iran had used 257g of uranium enriched up to 20% U-235 in the form of UF4 (uranium tetrafluoride) to produce 200g of uranium metal enriched up to 20% U-235,” the International Atomic Energy Agency wrote, according to Reuters.

Uranium metal can be used as a component in nuclear weapons. Iran had signed up to a 15-year ban on “producing or acquiring plutonium or uranium metals or their alloys,” under the so-called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) signed in 2015 with world powers.

Iran previously told the UN nuclear watchdog that it was advancing research on uranium metal production, saying it is aimed at providing advanced fuel for a research reactor in Tehran.

The IAEA added that the move was step three in a four-step plan, the fourth being the production of a reactor fuel plate, according to Reuters.

But Iran has insisted its nuclear activities are peaceful and that it is not aiming at building a weapon.

Former United States president Donald Trump pulled out of the deal in 2018 and re-imposed sanctions that have choked Iran’s oil-dependent economy. Iran has responded by walking back measures it had agreed to abide by, including enriching uranium to unprecedented levels, near weapons-grade.

Talks kicked off in April in Vienna to find a way to bring both parties back to the deal. But the last round took place on June 20, with no date set for when they would resume. The EU chairs the meetings.

US President Joe Biden, Trump’s successor, has signaled his readiness to return to the nuclear deal and has engaged in indirect negotiations with Iran alongside formal talks with the agreement’s remaining parties, Britain, China, France, Germany, and Russia.

Israel has long opposed the nuclear deal and Biden’s stated intentions to reenter the treaty.

A return to the 2015 deal seems more unlikely as tensions have risen, notably with an attack by drones last month on an Israeli-linked tanker off Oman that killed a Briton and a Romanian national on board.

The G7 — the US, Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Japan — blamed the attack on Iran, which denies the accusation.

The Chinese and Russian nuclear horns prepare for war: Daniel 7

Amid Central Asia Tensions, Russia and China Practice for War

The giants of Asia are drawing ever nearer to each other.

More than 10,000 soldiers from Russia and China kicked off large-scale joint military exercises in north-central China on August 9, in the latest indication of deepening ties between the two Asian giants.

The war games, called “Sibu/Interaction-2021,” ran until August 13 and involved both ground troops and combat aircraft.

They marked the first military exercises China has held with another nation since the covid-19 pandemic began. And they marked the first time, according to Russia’s Kommersant daily, that Russian troops have trained with Chinese weapons.

Around 80 percent of the Chinese weaponry used in the drills was recently developed, including KJ-500 early-warning and control aircraft, J-16 and J-20 fighter jets, and unmanned vehicles. Russia, meanwhile, sent Sukhoi Su-30SM fighter jets to take part, as well as air defense systems and motorized rifle units.

China’s Defense Ministry said the war games lifted the level of cooperation between Moscow and Beijing into a “new era.”

The exercises focused on counterterrorism and came as the Taliban continues a takeover of Afghanistan in the wake of the withdrawal of United States forces from the Central Asian nation. The exercise location—Ningxia, China—was selected because its desert, high plateau and climate make it similar to much of Central Asia.

Russia has historically played the larger role in stabilization efforts in Central Asia, a region comprised of many former Soviet nations. But in recent years, Beijing has invested more into securing the region, particularly as many vital components of China’s Belt and Road Initiative run through the region. In recent weeks, the Chinese have gone into overdrive reaffirming diplomatic relations with regional nations. China also held a highly publicized meeting with the Taliban last month aimed at safeguarding its Central Asian interests and preventing violence and extremism from spilling into China.

Xinhua said the “Sibu/Interaction-2021” drills are designed to “deepen the joint anti-terrorism operations between the Chinese and Russian militaries and demonstrate the firm determination and strength of the two countries to jointly safeguard international and regional security and stability.”

“It reflects the new height of the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era and of the strategic mutual trust, pragmatic exchanges and coordination between the two countries,” Xinhua wrote.

How efforts to stabilize Afghanistan will turn out is unclear. But what is certain is that the partnership between Russia and China is reaching new levels of depth and strength.

The relationship between these two behemoths did not begin warming until the end of the Cold War. But since 2003, they have held more than 30 joint military exercises, such as the latest one. This is a striking number of combined drills, which often give personnel from one country’s forces insight into highly secretive aspects of the other side’s command and control and technological know-how.

Next month, China and Russia will again practice making war together in drills held under the banner of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in southwest Russia’s Orenburg region.

The Trumpet monitors and reports on strengthening Russia-China ties because the Bible prophesies that a multinational Asian alliance will emerge in the end time. Revelation 16:12 calls this bloc “the kings of the east.” Revelation 9:16 says it will include 200 million soldiers—a force 15 times larger than the largest army in history. These scriptures as well as passages in Ezekiel, Daniel, Joel and elsewhere make plain that this leviathan will play a central role in the Third World War.

Russia and China are prophesied to lead this multinational Asiatic bloc and are already fulfilling the early stages of these prophecies. In 2014, after China voiced support for Russia’s unlawful annexation of Ukrainian territory, Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry said the backing was “a stunning fulfillment of a biblical prophecy!” (Trumpet, May-June 2014).

He wrote: “[W]e have been proclaiming for over 50 years that Russia, China and other Asian nations would ally themselves in the end time.”

Earlier in the article, he stated: “[W]e are in that end time now. … When these Asian nations—extremely powerful nuclear-armed countries—begin to show solidarity with each other regarding moves like that, what does that portend for the world? I tell you it is woe to the world. It will cause many serious problems.”

Red China’s Three-Pronged Nuclear-Biological-Chemical Weapons Attack

Commentary

Before there were “weapons of mass destruction” (WMD), there were nuclear-biological-chemical (NBC) weapons. NBC warfare has been a Cold War euphemism for decades, but disarmament advocates prefer WMD because the phrase is more frightening and easier understood by the average person.

The militaries in NATO and the United States have written voluminous doctrines, tactics, techniques, and procedures on the conduct of NBC warfare. Such examples include “Allied Joint Doctrine for NBC” (pdf); “Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Response” (pdf); “Combat Skills of the Soldier” (chapter 5, pdf); and “Naval Warfare Publication.” These and other related military publications are accessible online, and potential adversaries such as China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) have been studying and wargaming them for years. Other than simple prudence, there is a specific reason for PLA interest in studying Western NBC (or WMD) doctrine: Red China has embarked on a multi-pronged campaign involving NBC warfare that is finally coming into focus.

The Chinese Communists (ChiComs) are pursuing world domination in the economic and military spheres as they seek to return China to its historical prominence as a world leader. After all, China was once the most advanced civilization in the ancient world. As noted here, “China was once the standard-setter in an advanced civilization, the center point on which the economies and cultures of much of the Earth revolved.” Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) gained control of mainland China in 1949, the ChiComs have embarked on a methodical plan to resume Chinese supremacy in all human endeavors. This effort involves displacing U.S. supremacy and the post-World War II-era international system with “Chinese methods,” systems, and institutions.

The United States is the “main adversary” as far as the ChiComs and PLA are concerned. Beijing’s plan has now moved from playing “economic catch-up” via exploitation of the existing international system to overt actions directed against the United States and its allies.

Two elements of NBC warfare have already been employed against the United States: chemical and biological. The third apex of the NBC triangle—nuclear intimidation and coercion—is well along the way to becoming reality.

Chemical

The first element of the ChiComs’ NBC warfare campaign has been underway for years. There is enormous manufacture of fentanyl (by the tons) and other synthetic narcotics in China. As noted here, “China produces nearly all of the fentanyl, fentanyl analogues, and fentanyl precursors in the world.” Fentanyl and other synthetic and addictive drugs are the chemical part of multi-prong Chinese approach to achieving world dominance.

What better way to destroy the United States from within than through drug addiction and the hopelessness that addiction engenders? Note the continuing rise in drug overdose deaths in the United States in the below graphic from the CDC. Nearly half of those deaths are from fentanyl, and the year-to-year fentanyl deaths continue to increase dramatically as noted here.

Biological

SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) is nothing short of a biological attack on the United States and the rest of the world. The virus was lab-developed or lab-modified. Scientists suggest that the CGG-CGG amino acid sequence found in the ChiCom virus is manmade and can only have been inserted through gain-of-function research, as reported in The Wall Street Journal, as the CGG-CGG sequence is not found in nature. Additionally, British Professor Angus Dalgleish and Norwegian scientist Dr. Birger Sørensen completed a study that “claims that Chinese scientists created COVID-19 in a Wuhan lab,” and that they had evidence in hand of Chinese “retro-engineering” for over a year.

The zoonotic origins theory promoted by the ChiComs over the last 20 months is no longer operative. The ChiComs have obfuscated its origins and denied access to complete records of the virus while continually fear-mongering and exaggerating its effects via their state-run media, as well as promoting authoritarian methods (unproven and unscientific) for controlling the virus.

A biological war is underway that is being exploited to the hilt by Beijing, and the results have probably exceeded its wildest dreams, including the continuing turbulence in the U.S. economy, the virtual paralyzing of the world economy, and also the ongoing attacks on Americans’ constitutionally-guaranteed liberties by lockdown advocates.

Nuclear

According to Admiral Charles Richard, Commander of U.S. Strategic Command (STRATCOM), Red China is pursuing an unprecedented “nuclear breakoutthrough the accelerated production and deployment of nuclear missiles, warheads, and nuclear command and control infrastructure.

Three new missile fields totaling 230 intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) silos are being built in western China. With the multiple independently-targeted re-entry vehicles (MIRVs) and other nuclear technology stolen during the Clinton administration, the PLA-Rocket Forces will achieve nuclear parity with the United States within five years, as the New START Treaty limits the United States to “1,550 nuclear warheads on deployed ICBMs, deployed SLBMs [submarine-launched ballistic missiles], and deployed heavy bombers equipped for nuclear armaments.”

And the ChiComs also have an air-launched ICBM under development that will complete their nuclear triad along with their strategic submarine force. So much for Beijing’s professed “minimum nuclear deterrent” strategy.

Conclusion

The coming ChiCom nuclear intimidation and coercion will complete the NBC warfare triangular arrowhead aimed squarely at the United States. The ChiComs are positioning themselves to “win without fighting” a kinetic military war through their strategic three-pronged NBC weapons attack. Sun Tzu would be proud.

Rioting Palestinians outside the Temple Walls burn swastika inside Star of David

Rioting Palestinians burn swastika inside Star of David

Hoping to emulate Marches of Return on Israel-Gaza border and intimidate and push out local Jews, Palestinian rioters in West Bank village of Beita burn Nazi and Jewish symbols in antisemitic display.

Palestinian rioters in the village of Beita in Samaria burned a swastika and Magen David Saturday night.

For a few months now, residents of Beita have been confronting Israeli security forces in an effort to replicate the March of Returns seen on the Gaza Strip’s border with Israel. Torch-holding rioters have set off fireworks in an attempt to intimidate and eventually vacate the nearby settlement outpost of Evyatar.

The Evyatar outpost was illegally erected in April following the murder of Yehuda Guetta in a terrorist attack at the Tapuach Junction in Samaria. It was evacuated in June and will remain under the control of the Israel Defenses Forces until the Civil Administration’s planning committee completes its survey of the land.

In July, a Molotov cocktail thrown by rioters at security forces sparked a fire at Evyatar. While no one was injured in the incident, the firebombing did cause damage to two structures at the outpost.

Hamas Threatens Hostilities Outside the Temple Walls: Revelation 11

Report: Hamas Threatens Hostilities Unless It Gets Qatari Cash

JNS.org – Hamas is threatening to renew violence against Israel unless it is granted access to Qatari funds in cash, Palestinian media reported over the weekend.

According to reports, the terrorist group controlling the Gaza Strip refuses to receive the funds via wire transfers and demands the funds be transferred as they have been to date — in cash-stuffed suitcases.

Israel, backed by the Palestinian Authority, has demanded that Qatari aid be sent via wire transfer so as to make sure the funds serve the purpose of rebuilding civilian infrastructure in the Gaza Strip, rather than end up funding Hamas’ terrorist infrastructure.

Hamas has reportedly made it clear to Egypt, which is working to broker a long-term ceasefire between Israel and the terrorist group, that unless it gets immediate access to Qatari cash, border riots and cross-border arson attacks will resume.

Hamas spokesman Azam Qassem was quoted by Palestinian media as saying, “The easing of restrictions approved by the Zionist occupation in recent days [increasing the volume of goods delivered to Gaza as well as expanding its fishing zone] is not enough. These are attempts by the Zionist occupation to undermine Hamas and the Palestinian people and we will not allow it.”
