Les Propheties

(Century 1 Quatrain 27)

Michel de Nostredame Earth-shaking fire from the center of the earth. Will cause the towers around the New City to shake,Two great rocks for a long time will make war, And then Arethusa will color a new river red.(And then areth USA will color a new river red.) Earth-shaking fire from the center of the earth. Will cause the towers around the New City to shake,Two great rocks for a long time will make war

There is recent scientific evidence from drill core sampling in Manhattan, that the southern peninsula is overlapped by several tectonic plates. Drill core sampling has been taken from regions south of Canal Street including the Trade Towers’ site. Of particular concern is that similar core samples have been found across the East River in Brooklyn. There are also multiple fault lines along Manhattancorrelating with north-northwest and northwest trending neo-tectonic activity. And as recently as January and October of 2001, New York City has sustained earthquakes along these plates. For there are “two great rocks” or tectonic plates that shear across Manhattan in a northwestern pattern. And these plates “for a longtime will make war”, for they have been shearing against one other for millions of years. And on January 3 of 2010, when they makewar with each other one last time, the sixth seal shall be opened, and all will know that the end is near.

And then Arethusa will color a new river red.

Arethusa is a Greek mythological figure, a beautiful huntress and afollower of the goddess Artemis. And like Artemis, Arethusa would have nothing to do with me; rather she loved to run and hunt in the forest. But one day after an exhausting hunt, she came to a clear crystal stream and went in it to take a swim. She felt something from beneath her, and frightened she scampered out of the water. A voice came from the water, “Why are you leaving fair maiden?” She ran into the forest to escape, for the voice was from Alpheus, the god of the river. For he had fallen in love with her and became a human to give chase after her. Arethusa in exhaustion called out to Artemis for help, and the goddess hid her by changing her into a spring. But not into an ordinary spring, but an underground channel that traveled under the ocean from Greece to Sicily. But Alpheus being the god of the river, converted back into water and plunged downthe same channel after Arethusa. And thus Arethusa was captured by Artemis, and their waters would mingle together forever. And of great concern is that core samples found in train tunnels beneath the Hudson River are identical to those taken from southern Manhattan. Furthermore, several fault lines from the 2001 earthquakes were discovered in the Queen’s Tunnel Complex, NYC Water Tunnel #3. And a few years ago, a map of Manhattan drawn up in 1874 was discovered, showing a maze of underground waterways and lakes. For Manhattan was once a marshland and labyrinth of underground streams. Thus when the sixth seal is broken, the subways of the New City shall be flooded be Arethusa:the waters from the underground streams and the waters from the sea. And Arethusa shall be broken into two. And then Arethusa will color a new river red.

And then areth USA will color a new river red.

For Arethusa broken into two is areth USA. For areth (αρετη) is the Greek word for values. But the values of the USA are not based on morality, but on materialism and on wealth. Thus when the sixth seal is opened, Wall Street and our economy shall crash and “arethUSA”, the values of our economy shall fall “into the red.” “Then the kings of the earth and the great men and the commanders and the rich and the strong and every slave and free man hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains; and they said to the mountains and to the rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb; for the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?’” (Revelation 6:15-17)

India-Pakistan: They will turn their backs (Revelation 8)

India-Pakistan: Will they shake hands or turn their backs?

Three months ago, reckless air-strikes by India and retaliation by Pakistan followed by mutual brinkmanship brought the two nuclear-empowered countries whisker close to a war. On June 13 next, Indian prime minister Narendra Modi will be face to face with his Pakistani counterpart Imran Khan at the annual summit of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in Bishkek. Though there is as yet no decision on the two prime ministers meeting one to one on the sidelines of the event, speculations are rife about possibility of a peace song in the offing.
Three questions are in order. Will it happen? Will it sustain, if it does? Does it signify a global shift?
Bellicose rhetoric and Pakistan-bashing was the prime essence of Modi’s campaign in the just concluded Indian election that brought his right-wing government back to power with a bigger majority than in 2014. India and Pakistan are like Siamese twins whose relations with each other feed on the mutual belligerence at the domestic political level and whose internal political affairs cast a shadow on each other’s domestic politics. The internal fall-out of the recent sabre rattling in India and its mirror impact in Pakistan does not augur well for a peace pitch.
Within a week of conclusion of Indian elections, a series of incidents including racially inspired mob violence against Muslims and a Muslim war veteran who served the Indian Army for 30 years being declared a ‘trespasser’ by the Foreigners Tribunal in Assam, give an indication of what the next five years in India would be like. These trends are a continuation of a trend that started under Modi’s previous tenure in accelerated mode. Secondly, they are in line with his election campaign that obliterated the difference between Pakistan, Muslim and terrorist. India is moving into a new zone step by step in line with the vision of the Modi led Hindu right wing. Modi’s previous tenure saw him constantly in election mode. Raising public anxieties against Pakistan and Hindu supremacy became crucial props in every election to different state assemblies. Three assembly elections are due this year. Ideologically and for electoral gains, hostility with Pakistan and chaotic violence in Kashmir suits India’s ruling party. Any reconciliatory moves towards Pakistan would militate against such electoral strategies.
BJP election rallies were sites of amplified jargon of ‘Enemy at the door’ and convincing the gullible audience that Modi alone was capable to save the nation. By giving the BJP ticket from Bhopal to terror accused Sadhvi Pragya to contest elections, Modi gave a strong message that sent minorities, specially Muslims into pangs of fear and hastened the pace of the Hindu awakening, peppered with hatred. By giving Modi a mandate for hate and war mongering, India has embarked on a different journey. The incidents in the past five years offer mere glimpses into the drama that is likely to unfold. The foundations of this journey were laid during Modi’s last tenure as prime minister during which liberal voices were persecuted, minorities hounded, a dominant section of media was bought over and public institutions weakened to pave way for centralizing his own authority and power. The spade work was done much before when he was chief minister of Gujarat and 1,000 Muslims were killed tens of thousands uprooted from their homes in riots under his watch and with the patronage of his administration. A new India, frighteningly so, is being built step by step in line with the vision of the BJP-RSS and Narendra Modi as head of the state.
The continuation and acceleration of this hate-project within India is unstoppable and would have ramifications which would be beyond the control of the present dispensation. More attacks on minorities will further deepen their ghettoisation and even possible mobilisation. A more worrying prospect is retaliation leading to anarchy and offering terror outfits like ISIS and al Qaeda, already looking for greener pastures after their battering in the Arab world, a fertile ground to invade. Such prospects are global concerns beyond the India-Pakistan dynamics.
However, present global compulsions may push India and Pakistan to inch closer to beginning a process of engagement. Necessitated by China’s One Belt One Road economic interest and significance of Iran-Pakistan-India pipeline for Indian business houses, that fully backed Modi’s campaign, indicate the possibility of Modi’s compulsion to switch over to peace tunes with Pakistan. Besides, the strategic moves on the global chess board will also dictate the course of India’s policy vis-a-vis Pakistan. USA appears headed for a major confrontation with Iran and if that happens, Pakistan would be pressurised into softening its eastern borders. A conflict in Iran would jeopardise economic desires of China, which recently reluctantly gave the nod for arraigning Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Maulana Masood Azhar, giving Modi the benefit, amidst of the heat of electioneering, of projecting it as his victory at the international level. Things are obviously at play behind the scenes at the diplomatic level. The last time India and Pakistan were engaged in a peace process coincided with the US intervention in Afghanistan.
This time, if it happens, it may be short-lived, primarily due to the genetic code of the BJP-RSS which runs contrary to pacifism and would also expose the inherent contradictions between the belligerent pitch of the election fever and reconciliation efforts. Secondly, the internal strife in Kashmir, whose dispute is intrinsically linked to India-Pakistan relations, may not ebb easily despite a possible peace process. Thirdly, the genie of mob violence against minorities that the Modi-led BJP has unleashed may become too monstrous to be controlled and would also have an impairing impact on India-Pakistan peace. Fourthly, the sincerity of both India and Pakistan comes under question. While the rulers in India are driven by a genetic hatred for Pakistan and Muslims, Pakistan’s prime minister, Imran Khan has made noises that are anything but re-assuring. In the middle of Indian elections when Modi took bellicose rhetoric to a new level, Khan batted for Modi as the man to bargain for peace. On the day of the Indian election verdict, he both made a call for peace and went ahead with nuclear missile test-fire.
A possible calm that the sub-continent may head towards would remain not just fragile but short-lived, plunging the region into deeper levels of hostility. A disaster could be silently waiting in the wings to happen and merits global attention.

The Threatening Russian Nuclear Horn (Daniel 7)

Russia’s Massive Nuclear Weapons Arsenal Is a Threat

Mark Schneider

The U.S. mainstream view of Russia has changed quite a bit in the last twenty years, particularly in the last five. We have moved from the fantasy that there was no threat from Russia after the demise of the Soviet Union to a recognition of a serious Russian threat to the U.S. and its allies, including a nuclear threat in the last two years of the Obama administration and the Trump administration. However, characterizing the relationship between the U.S. and Russia as “competition” as it now appears in U.S. Government documents, does not go far enough. Lockheed and Boeing compete; Russia threatens preemptive nuclear attack. It is unilaterally trying to create a sphere of influence in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet states in the classic 19th Century sense while building the largest nuclear arsenal in the world.  There is no competition here but rather a serious threat from Russia.

Russia and Nuclear Weapons

Putin’s economic policies are a disaster for Russia; yet he continues to modernize and expand Russia’s military and nuclear capabilities. In January 2017, Russian Defense Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu stated that development of the strategic nuclear force was Russia’s first priority, noting that Russia will “…continue a massive program of nuclear rearmament, deploying modern ICBMs on land and sea, [and] modernizing the strategic bomber force.” The 2018 Nuclear Posture Review report agrees stating, “In addition to modernizing ‘legacy’ Soviet nuclear systems, Russia is developing and deploying new nuclear warheads and launchers. These efforts include multiple upgrades for every leg of the Russian nuclear triad of strategic bombers, sea-based missiles, and land-based missiles. Russia is also developing at least two new intercontinental range systems, a hypersonic glide vehicle, and a new intercontinental, nuclear-armed, nuclear-powered, undersea autonomous torpedo.” Secretary of Energy Rick Perry and National Nuclear Security Administration Director Lisa Gordon-Hagerty in April 2019 told the Senate Armed Services Committee, “Russia and China are investing massive resources into upgrading and expanding their nuclear arsenals, all at a time when they seek to challenge U.S. interests and unravel U.S. alliances around the world.”

Russia’s New Nuclear Superweapons

Russia’s only real claim to be a great power is its nuclear weapons. Therefore, it is hardly surprising that Russia has officially announced over 20 new or modernized strategic nuclear systems. Putin routinely brandishes his nuclear superweapons because he believes Russia gets political benefits from nuclear threats. In his March 2018 State of the Nation address, Putin bragged about five new Russian nuclear systems. Putin’s superweapons include:

  • The new Sarmat heavy ICBM whose capabilities Putin said “are much higher” than the Cold War Soviet SS-18 ICBM because it will carry “a broad range of powerful nuclear warheads” and the Sarmat “has practically no range restrictions.” The Sarmat is reported in the Russian state media as capable of carrying 10 warheads of 800-kilotons or 15 warheads of 350-kilotons. It will be their main counterforce weapon. In light of reported Russian development of variable yield missile warheads, it is also likely to have a low-yield option.

  • The Burevestnik, a nuclear-powered cruise missile carrying a nuclear warhead, which Putin said had “almost an unlimited range…” This is a very dangerous weapons system from a testing safety standpoint because every flight will end in a radiation release.

  • An ultra-fast and deep-diving nuclear-powered drone submarine called the Poseidon which Putin said “would carry massive nuclear ordnance.” This weapon has similar safety problems as the nuclear-powered cruise missile. Worse, it is a weapon of genocide. If it were used, there would be no way to limit its damage. It is reported in the Russian press to carry a 100-megaton weapon and possibly a cobalt bomb, a “doomsday” weapon never built during the Cold War. A single submarine armed with these weapons would release more fallout than the entire U.S. strategic force even if we used it in the most destructive manner. TASS reports it will be deployed during the current procurement plan which goes until 2027.

  • A “high-precision hypersonic aircraft missile system,” the Kinzhal, which is capable of “delivering nuclear and conventional warheads in a range of over 2,000-km,” and which is now operational. The Chief of the Russian Aerospace Force called it an “aeroballistic missile.” Deputy Russian Defense Minister Yuri Borisov said that ten Kinzhals are operational on the Mig-31 fighters and TASS, the main official Russian news agency, reports that an “aeroballistic missile,” obviously the Kinzhal, will be carried by the Su-34 long-range strike fighter. State-run Sputnik News says the Backfire bomber can carry four Kinzhal missiles. TASS reports that a smaller version of this missile will be carried by the Su-57.

  • The Avangard nuclear hypersonic boost glide vehicle which Putin characterizes as, “A real technological breakthrough” which he said, “has been successfully tested.” TASS says it has a two-megaton warhead. In June 2018, President Putin said it was in serial production. The Russians have said that it will be operational in 2019.

In his February 2019 State of the Nation address to the Duma, President Putin “promoted” the new Tsirkon (Zircon) hypersonic missile into the superweapon category.

These are real programs. According to STRATCOM Commander General John Hyten, “…you should believe Vladimir Putin about everything he said he’s working on.”  Based on open sources it appears that four of these systems are nuclear armed and two are nuclear capable.

In April 2019, Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov said that these weapons were not subject to the New START Treaty. It is clear that the New START Treaty does not restrain four of the six and the fifth is only subject to the Treaty because it uses an ICBM as a booster. In March 2019, Antonov said Russia would not agree to changes to the New START Treaty to bring these weapons into it. Anyone who thinks the New START Treaty protects us against Putin’s nuclear threat is living in a fantasy world.

Current Status of Russian Nuclear Modernization

On December 24, 2018, Russian Defense Minister General of the Army Sergey Sergei Shoigu said Russia had achieved “an unprecedented level of equipment with modern weapons,” surpassing all other nations. He stated that 1) “The modernity level of the Strategic Nuclear Forces has reached 82%…”; 2) the new Sarmat heavy ICBM had been successfully tested in a “pop-up test”; 3) in 2019, “the first missile regiment [will be] equipped…with [the] Avangard hypersonic glide vehicle” and would become operational; 4) in 2019, a total of 31 Yars and Avangard nuclear ICBMs would be put on “combat duty”; 5) in 2019, the first Borey A ballistic missile submarine would become operational; 6) four Tu-95 nuclear-capable bombers would be modernized; and 7) Russia had conducted a salvo launch of 12 nuclear capable Kh-101 cruise missiles from a Tu-160 heavy bomber. This adds up to the modernization in a single year of about 10 percent of the declared Russian strategic nuclear force under the New START Treaty. TASS also reported that the new version of the Tu-160 (the Tu-160M2), which will add 500 additional deployed warheads to the Russian strategic nuclear force, is now being manufactured.

Thanks to the 2018 Nuclear Posture Review report we now have official confirmation of much of what Russia says it was doing and disclosure of some things that the Russians do not talk about presumably because they involve arms control violations. It states, “While Russia initially followed America’s lead and made similarly sharp reductions in its strategic nuclear forces, it retained large numbers of non-strategic nuclear weapons. Today, Russia is modernizing these weapons as well as its other strategic systems. Even more troubling has been Russia’s adoption of military strategies and capabilities that rely on nuclear escalation for their success. These developments, coupled with Russia’s seizure of Crimea and nuclear threats against our allies, mark Moscow’s decided return to Great Power competition.” Russian nuclear modernization is literally never-ending. All legs of the Russian Triad are being modernized. When Russia deploys a new system, it starts work on the follow-on. We don’t. We are pursuing a minimum program to maintain a nuclear triad replacing systems only when very old. We are almost a decade away from any new systems actually being deployed.

The Number of Deployed Russian Strategic Nuclear Weapons

Russian New START data are very limited and of little use. Russia’s declared New START numbers are apparently not real and certainly not verifiable because of the Treaty’s many loopholes and limited and ineffective verification provisions. There are inspections but they can’t verify anything because of the lack of attribution rules in the Treaty. (Attribution rules establish both a minimum and maximum number of warheads for each missile type). There is no way to verify the total number of accountable warheads much less the number of actual deployed warheads which is clearly much higher. There is no Senate Select Intelligence Committee report on New START verification because there is no credible way to claim it is verifiable. Then-Vice Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Senator Christopher Bond summed it up during New START ratification: “The Select Committee on Intelligence has been looking at this issue closely over the past several months. As the vice chairman of this committee, I have reviewed the key intelligence on our ability to monitor this treaty and heard from our intelligence professionals. There is no doubt in my mind that the United States cannot reliably verify the treaty’s 1,550 limit on deployed warheads.”

Babylon the Great is About to be Crushed

Iran Warns U.S. Navy and ‘Zionist’ Military: Prepare to Be Crushed

U.S. Navy forces now gathered in the Persian Gulf region will be hit with “unimaginable reciprocal blows” if any attack is made on Iran, a top military aide to the country’s leadership said Sunday.

Zionists” were also warned they face the same fate in the announcement.

General Rahim Safavi told the local Fars newsagency Iran has the ability to hit far beyond its borders and its enemies should take note. He said:

We are not the starter of any war and aggression against any country and this has several times been stated by Supreme Leader [Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei who is also commander-in-chief of the Iranian Armed Forces]. But if enemies, including the Zionists or the Americans, make a move against us at any level, we have a strong defense and deterrence power too and will hit unimaginable reciprocal blows on them and their interests and military bases.

He claimed Iran “is stronger than all its 15 neighbors, except Russia, in the military field,” and said Tehran and Moscow have joined together in a military alliance across the Middle East. Such is Iran’s claimed military might, the country “will inflict the most crushing and most surprising strikes on them not just in areas around the country but also beyond in the seas.”

This not the first time Iran has issued blood-curdling threats against its real and perceived enemies.

As Breitbart News reported, last month the U.S. military presence in the Middle East was dismissed as its “weakest in history” by a deputy commander of Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards.

Admiral Ali Fadavi, a deputy Guards commander, made the accusation but failed to add any evidence to back his claim.

“The Americans have been present in the region since 1833 and they are now at their weakest in history in West Asia,” Fadavi is alleged to have said.

Tehran has previously described U.S. military moves as “psychological warfare” and a “political game”designed to hurt the Iran people.

The White House announced in May it would send the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier strike group and B-52 bombers into the Persian Gulf to counter Tehran. The Lincoln is now on on station for its new assignment, as Breitbart News reported.

The USS Abraham Lincoln is a Nimitz-class, nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. Commissioned in 1989, it has berthing to carry over 6,000 officers and enlisted sailors. At 332 meters (1,092 feet), it is nearly as long as the Empire State Building is tall.

The carrier has a 4.5-acre flight deck that carries F-18 Super Hornet fighter jets, MH-60 Seahawk helicopters and other aircraft.

Two weeks ago a top commander in Iran’s elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. said the United States “wouldn’t dare to launch military action against us.”

He was backed by an Iranian cleric who alleged a U.S. Navy force in the Persian Gulf could be entirely destroyed with ease.

“Their billion [-dollar] fleet can be destroyed with one missile,” Ayatollah Yousef Tabatabai Nejad was quoted as saying by the ISNA news agency.

“If they attempt any move, they will… [face] dozens of missiles because at that time [government] officials won’t be in charge to act cautiously, but instead things will be in the hands of our beloved leader [Ayatollah Ali Khamenei]” added Nejad, who is the supreme leader’s representative in Isfahan.

From Gaza to Iraq: Fire is a new weapon of ISIS, Hamas and others

More than 2,000 fires have been set in southern Israel and 8,700 acres burned between May 2018 and May 2019.

In 2018 Hamas hit upon a new way to terrorize Israel. Its activists and supporters began attaching incendiary devices to balloons and floating them over the border from Gaza. In Iraq Islamic State has also been burning fields across the center and north of the country to terrorize Iraqi farmers and to target various areas, including Sinjar where members of the Yazidi minority live.

More than 2,000 fires have been set in southern Israel and 8,700 acres burned between May 2018 and May 2019, according to the Meir Amit Intelligence and Information Center. The use of balloons to transport burning material over the border has increased according to the Meir Amit report. It is obviously an innovative strategy that Hamas set upon when it realized that its Great Return March mass protests and other activities, such as tunneling, had been thwarted.

The relationship between ISIS using burning fields to terrorize people and Hamas using balloons is not clear, but in the past extremist groups have barrowed tactics from Hamas to use across the region and the world. For instance suicide bombings, vehicular attacks, mass stabbings and other attacks became common methods to attack Israel before they became as common abroad.

Thousands of acres have been burned in Iraq and Syria in the last months as ISIS began using fire as a weapon. In May ISIS members infiltrated villages near Makhmur, an area that is exposed because it is along the line where Kurdish Peshmerga forces of the autonomous Kurdistan Regional Government patrol and where there is a gap between them and the Iraqi army forces. ISIS exploited this gap between Iraqi and Kurdish forces to begin threatening farmers. ISIS demanded taxes or it would burn their fields.

After those incidents ISIS began burning fields anyway, without any quid pro quo of taxes. It has struck across a swath of central and northern Iraq, usually near areas ISIS once controlled. This often either targets Kurdish areas or local Sunni Arab farmers or other groups, such as Shi’ites and Turkmen. Over the weekend on June 7 and 8 ISIS was accused of setting fires near Sinjar, an area where Yazidis live. In 2014 ISIS had attacked Sinjar and carried out a genocide against Yazidis. More than 3,000 are stillmissing.  ISIS wants to show that even when it has been defeated militarily, as it was in Syria in March, its genocide will continue by keeping minorities from returning to their lands.

The overall amount of land torched in Iraq its thought to be more than 8,000 acres. A man who goes by the Twitter name Tom Cat and follows the Iraqi security forces closely wrote that the fires have destroyed around 1.6 percent of Iraq’s wheat and barley fields. Farmers are losing their livelihoods.

So far Iraq has not found a way to confront the fires. The country is still recovering from ISIS and the destruction its war caused from 2014 to 2018. Cities such as Mosul require major investment to rebuild. Yet ISIS is targeting the most vulnerable rural populations where security is still difficult to impose in places like Nineveh and between Kirkuk and Makhmur, or near Khanaquin. ISIS goal is to make it inhospitable for rural people to live normally and to keep people terrified. The locals who wondered if ISIS would return and who might have wavered in their support of the central government are being sent a message that ISIS is coming back. For minorities the message is also that their former villages are not safe to return to, that lurking in the night the arm of ISIS can still reach out.
