East Coast Expecting The Sixth Seal (Revelation 6:12)

United States Fault Lines Map – Earthquakes could also happen in East Coast and in the Midwest Cites

Submitted by Nicole Wilson on January 22, 2010 – 3:07pm.

[BestSyndication News] Earthquakes are always a concern out in Alaska and in California, as it is full of fault lines that are continually shifting. There are some fault lines that are overdue to shift, especially the California San Andres fault line that runs through the mountain ranges and close to Wrightwood. But did you know there is a United States Fault Lines Map that illustrates great potentials for earthquakes outside of our state?

New Madrid Fault Line

The New Madrid Fault Line has records of over 4000 earthquake reports since 1974. This fault line is also called the New Madrid Seismic Zone and has potential to devastate the states of Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Mississippi. The biggest part of the New Madrid Fault Line sits in Missouri.

We often forget that this Midwestern fault line is there, but in 1811-1812 there was a series of earthquakes that shook with estimated magnitudes of 8.1 – 8.3, with several aftershocks of 6.0 magnitudes. Since those big ones, the largest earthquake that this fault line produced was in a 6.6-magnitude quake that happened on October 31, 1895. It’s epicenter was in Charleston, Missouri. The damage from these earthquakes were extensive, and there has been recent speculation by the scientific community that believe that this fault line might be shutting down and moving elsewhere. In an issue of Nature, scientist believe the current seismic activity at the New Madrid Fault line is only aftershocks from the earthquake back in 1811 and 1812.

Ramapo Fault Line

The Ramapo Fault Line spans 300 kilometers and affects the states of New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. These faults run between the Appalachian Mountains and Piedmont areas to the east.

This fault remains relatively inactive, but scientists believe that it could produce some serious earthquakes. There was a study completed in 2008 that believes a 6 – 7 magnitude earthquake will very likely occur from this fault line. The last time this fault was the most active was believed to be 200 million years ago.

San Andreas Fault Line

The last few years Southern California has been preparing for the next big one with government sponsored Earthquake Drills. Scientist are predicting that the next big one with a magnitude of a 7.0 or higher for this fault line will happen any time, it could be now or 10 years from now. They believe the areas that are going to be hit the hardest are going to be Palm Springs and a number of other cities in San Bernardino, Riverside and Imperial counties in California, and Mexicali municipality in Baja California.

The Nuclear Apocalypse is Coming (Revelation 16)

World War 3 WARNING as nations on brink of NUCLEAR APOCALYPSE ‘doomsday clock is ticking’

THE WORLD could be on the brink of “nuclear apocalypse” as the “doomsday clock is closer to midnight than it has ever been,” a prominent US activist and author has warned.

By Sam Stevenson 03:37, Thu, Nov 8, 2018 | UPDATED: 08:05, Thu, Nov 8, 2018

David Swanson, author of several anti-war books and organiser of peace demonstrations, argued “madness” and a “drive to dominate the world” underpinned the threat of all-out war between the world’s leading powers.

He told Express.co.uk: “The doomsday clock is closer to midnight than it has ever been.

“The actual danger of nuclear apocalypse is greater than it has ever been – exacerbated by the fact people are far less aware of it than they used to be.

“We ought to be scared out of our minds by nuclear apocalypse.”

The writer of ‘Daybreak: Undoing the Imperial Presidency and Forming a More Perfect Union’ added: “The US is capable of destroying any spot on the planet in a matter of hours with non-nuclear weapons.

“And until the United States stops its aggressive war policies, these other countries are not going to give up their nuclear weapons.

This is far more dangerous than the previous cold war – in part because there is not the buffer zone of eastern Europe.”

Americans have put the military at the top of the list of most important institutions measured by US pollster Gallup for the past 20 years.

In its latest update, conducted in 2017, Gallup said 72 percent of Americans had a great deal or quite a lot of confidence in the military.

On the findings, the research group said: “Americans cite their perceptions of the professional and competent way in which the military has executed its responsibilities, followed by a focus on the importance of what the military does for the country.”

US President Donald Trump has “normalised” militarism within the US and successfully made poor people patriotic, Mr Swanson maintained.

He said: “And this is not something people want to talk about.

“Militarism is normalised and celebrated and has endless holidays – inducing Veterans Day, which replaced Armistice Day, it is unquestionable in public discourse.”

Fiery rhetoric in the US has engendered a public opinion shift towards support of militarism, with a “very high” percentage of people willing to fight for their country, the activist, who is planning a peace protest in Washington with anti-war group World Beyond War in April next year, explained.

He said: “In various studies, the US is very high – compared to European countries for example – in terms of the percentage of people who say they would participate in a war for their country.

“It is over 40 percent in the United States.”

Mr Swanson continued to assert the US people believed their nation was “superior” to others and this meant they could wage wars without the consent of the United Nations.

He said: “The US also has the highest percentage of its public that believes its nation is superior, believes its nation is so superior as to merit special rights and privileges denied to every other nation, believes its nation has the right to launch a war without the United Nations and so forth.

“In terms of various measures of patriotism/nationalism, the US is right at the top – including flags per capita.”

According to statistician Statista, 85 percent of Americans consider themselves to be “patriotic”.

However, a more recent Gallup poll conducted in July 2018 found a record-low of 47 percent of US citizens were “extremely proud to be Americans”.

The Antichrist Vetoes the Iraq Government

Sadr’s Veto Leaves Iraq Government Incomplete

A “veto” imposed by head of Sairoon Coalition Moqtada al-Sadr on the candidate of Binaa Coalition for the post of interior minister, Faleh al-Fayyad, and on giving the education portfolio to the Arab Project, which is led by Khamis al-Khanjar, has prevented a vote on the remaining eight candidates in the new government.

The parliamentary vote on the eight ministers in Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi’s government was postponed to Thursday as a result of the veto imposed by the Sadrist movement on Fayyad, said an informed source.

The source told Asharq Al-Awsat that attempts are underway to convince Sairoon, and Sadr in particular, to lift the veto and approve Fayyad as the only candidate for the Binaa coalition.

“The problem is that Sairoon also rejects keeping the education ministry within the share of the Arab Project, which is part of al-Mihwar al-Watani Sunni Coalition and currently has the defense, education and planning ministries,” the informed source explained.

He added that Binaa also insists on granting the education ministry to the Arab Project.

Head of Qarar Coalition Osama al-Nujaifi is also attempting to obtain the education ministry.

However, Nujaifi, being part of the Reform and Reconstruction Bloc, means that the government will find difficulty in reaching consensus until Thursday’s session.

The source stressed that the dispute on the remaining portfolios will likely continue.

Leader in the Arab Project Omar al-Humairi, for his part, told Asharq Al-Awsat that his party insists on obtaining the education ministry.

He added that its candidate is Dr. Siba al-Taie who is competent and has the required experience.

In response to a question regarding the defense ministry, Humairi said that many Sunni blocs nominated a number of candidates for this position, and therefore Abdul Mahdi should review several files before choosing the appropriate figure.

“We wanted independent figures to be appointed in the ministry’s security posts and be chosen by the Prime Minister himself,” he added.

The Sunni-Shia Nuclear Race (Daniel)

Saudi reactor triggers fears of nuclear race with Iran

By Guy Taylor

Saudi Arabia has begun work on its first nuclear research reactor, prompting fresh concern Riyadh will soon seek to develop nuclear weapons if Iran restarts its own weapons program amid Washington’s reimposition of sanctions and withdrawal from the 2015 Iranian nuclear deal.

The official Saudi Press Agency reported that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman partook in a ceremony Monday to mark the opening of construction in Riyadh for the research reactor, a facility that could be used education and medical purposes — or for atomic weapons research.

The agency offered few details beyond saying the move fit with the oil-rich kingdom’s desire to diversify its energy sector. However, the ceremony’s timing, on the same day the Trump administration reimposed sweeping sanctions on Iran, suggests Riyadh sought to send a message that it is prepared for a potential nuclear arms race.

While Crown Prince Mohammed has offered no public comment on the matter this week, he triggered global headlines in March by vowing to match any future Iranian nuclear weapons development with Saudi countermeasures.

The crown prince made no secret during an interview at the time with CBS news of his distaste for Iran, the Middle East’s Shiite Muslim powerhouse and the chief rival of predominantly Sunni Muslim Saudi Arabia.

In addition to comparing Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to Adolf Hitler and Iran’s expansionist posture toward the region to Nazi Germany’s activities in Europe prior to World War II, the crown prince said that “without a doubt, if Iran developed a nuclear bomb, we will follow suit as soon as possible.”

The prospect of a Saudi-Iran nuclear race has hung in the backdrop of the Trump administration’s withdrawal from the 2015 Iranian nuclear deal — a deal that saw the U.S. and other world powers ease sanctions on Iran in exchange for limits to its nuclear program, which was long suspected of clandestine atomic bomb development.

As the administration has reimposed sanctions against Iran during recent months, the regime in Tehran has threatened to restart operations for uranium enrichment, the process needed to develop nuclear bombs.

It remains to be seen whether the Iranians with follow through on the threat. But there were indications Monday that both Riyadh and Tehran are watching each other closely.

Iranian state media was among the first to report Saudi Arabia’s nuclear research reactor ceremony, claiming Riyadh has been “pushing for an atomic deal” with Washington that could “pave the way for the Saudi regime to enrich uranium.”

It was not immediately clear what the Trump administration’s posture toward — or potential involvement in — the development may be. Several reports cited previously publicized Saudi plans to build as many as 16 nuclear reactors over the coming years as it seeks to diversify its energy sector.

According to The Times of Israel, Mr. Trump faced pressure in March from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to halt any U.S. sale of the reactors to the Saudis. The online newspaper maintained that Mr. Trump told Mr. Netanyahu at the time that if the U.S. did not supply the reactors, Russia or China likely would.

The Fars News Agency in Tehran, meanwhile, suggested Monday’s reactor ceremony in Riyadh was an attempt to by Crown Prince Mohammed to deter attention away from the ongoing scandal over the murder of dissident Saudi writer Jamal Khashoggi.

Calm Before the Storm Outside the Temple Walls (Revelation 11:2)

The Calm Before the Storm

By JOL Staff

November 7, 2018

The Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, chaired by MK Avi Dichter (Likud), was briefed Tuesday by the Shin Bet (General Security Service) director Nadav Argaman on various security-related issues.

Shin Bet chief Argaman told the committee that “the situation in the Palestinian arena has been very unstable in the past year,” adding that “In the Gaza Strip we stand between a possible military campaign on the one hand, and an attempt to stabilize the humanitarian situation of the residents of Gaza on the other.”

Israel’s General Security of Shin Bet, Nadav Argaman

“The reality in Judea and Samaria is very complex. We can discern a relative calm, but this quiet is deceptive. Underneath the surface, the area is bubbling. Hamas is trying with all its might to carry out terrorist attacks from Judea and Samaria with guidance from the Gaza Strip, Turkey and Lebanon,” he said.

“Over the past year, we were able to thwart 480 terror attacks, including 219 Hamas cells and 590 lone attackers. This is a very large number that is indicative of the terrorism bubbling under the surface.”

“In addition, we were able in the last year to thwart cyber-attacks,  both terrorism and espionage, against the State of Israel,” he added.

“In general, these successes… are the result of very strenuous activity by the entire Israeli security system—Shin Bet, IDF, Israel Police—which allows this reality and allows Israeli citizens to live their daily lives,” the Shin Bet director noted.

Since the beginning of the year, there have been 49 significant terror attacks carried out in Judea and Samaria (compared to 64 in 2017, 119 in 2016 and 192 in 2015). Ten Israelis were killed in these acts of terror and 56 were injured (as opposed to 9 casualties and 66 injured in 2017).

There were no terror attacks launched from the Jerusalem area, as compared to five [attacks] in 2017

Regarding the Shin Bet’s activity to thwart terror, it thwarted 480 significant terror attacks, of which 280 were shooting attacks, 76 explosive charge attacks, 7 terrorist kidnappings, 6 suicide attacks and 101 self-sacrifice attacks (including vehicle-ramming attacks and knifings).

This year 219 local Hamas cells were thwarted in Judea and Samaria (compared to 148 cells thwarted in 2017, and 114 cells thwarted in 2016). This demonstrates the high threat level observed in local terror activity on the ground and explains why the quiet in Judea and Samaria is virtual quiet, according to Argaman.

At the same time, the Hamas forces in the Gaza Strip and abroad continue to focus efforts on promoting terror attacks from Judea and Samaria. It is evident that the Hamas considers Judea and Samaria to be a key zone for promoting terror, both as supportive efforts for the “March of Return Campaign” in the Gaza Strip and as a means for advancing more expansive interests in the Palestinian establishment. However, Hamas is encountering difficulty in actually getting activity of this kind off the ground, mainly due to Israeli thwarting operations.

A decrease in the number of lone-wolf terrorists in Judea and Samaria in 2018 – 25 terror attacks as opposed to 54 in 2017 and 108 in 2016. The end-result is that despite the decrease in their numbers, most of the damage caused by lone-wolf terrorists continues to be in the form of the number of casualties (9 out of 10 Israelis killed in Judea and Samaria). In 2018, the Shin Bet spotted and thwarted about 590 lone-wolf terrorists in time.

In terms of cyber security, the Shin Bet has invested tremendous efforts in gaining technological power, and in developing tools and new capacities in cyber security. Over the course of the year, rivals’ activities in cyberspace were spotted and thwarted, and diverse activities were implemented – resulting in high quality intelligence that helped thwart terror attacks and save human lives.
